JOB SUMMARY
The Program Coordinator provides operational and administrative oversight to a program in the University. The Program Coordinator administers programs to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives. The Program Coordinator coordinates functions related to recruitment, marketing, partnerships, program accreditation, strengthening relationships, event programming and in some cases fundraising.
DUTIES
- Collaborates with departments, community advisors, partners, and stakeholders on program activities
- Plans and manages daily office operations, including the coordination and oversight of staff/student employees
- Prepares business documents in accordance with university and departmental standards, including, but not limited to, purchase vouchers, requisitions, travel reimbursements, personnel actions, timesheets, or cash deposits as required by the department
- Establishes and maintains program records, reports, presentations and proposals, policies, procedures, etc
- Monitors/oversees the program budget to include various types of accounts/funds and coordinates contracts and various financial processes
- Manages recruitment for the program, registration, processes, and coordinates information packets
- Develops metrics and analytical data for programs activity and reviews and analyzes the data, and submits reports
- Performs other duties that are unique to specific department/program
MARGINAL DUTIES
- Performs all other duties as assigned
- May need to stay abreast of governmental and other local agencies guidelines that may impact program activities
- May be required to work outside normal business hours
- May provide support to faculty
- May interact with other departments to promote the goals and objectives of the program
- May perform web design and post social media announcements
- May ensure program objectives such as program accreditation are carried out and maintains program by-laws
- May require travel

- May regularly assigns work to subordinate(s)

- May train and counsel subordinate(s)

- Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community
- Ability to apply independently a wide variety of policies/procedures where specified guidelines may not exist
