What are the responsibilities and job description for the Federal Work-Study| Honors Programs position at University of Houston System?
Description:
• Assists and interacts with all levels of university personnel, students, and the general population
• Performs administrative duties such as answering phones, scanning, filing, copying documents, constructing Excel spreadsheets
• Assists with administration of co-curricular aspects of the program, including pairing and supervising mentors/mentees, monitoring study hall, and collecting records of student volunteer hours and other necessary paperwork
• Maintains program-wide MS Teams platform and communicates with Honors students as needed
• Helps with writing, photography, and layout of PR materials for website, printed brochures, flyers, public hallway bulletin board
• Participates in/helps to organize recruitment and orientation activities for the program
• Assists with special events and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Must be a current UHD student
• Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Must have received a work-study award from the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships
Preferred Qualification:
• Must be in good standing in the University Honors Program
