What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant II- Orthopaedics position at University of Maryland Faculty Physicians, Inc?
Responsible for assisting orthopaedic physicians and nursing staff with patient care. Responsible for chart management and patient flow. Performs delegated medical tasks and may perform clerical duties. Where the electronic system is in use, this position will utilize the system as documented in the department and/or FPI standard operating procedure and process; and other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Two to three years medical assisting and medical office experience
- Medical Assistant certification required
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Demonstrated skill in venipuncture
- CPR certification is required
