This position will begin June 16th and last until August 20th, 2025
Duties/Responsibilities
- Camp Programming and Activities (40%)
- Prepares and leads creative and innovative sport activities for campers of varying skills and modalities for 45-minute sessions each day. Each day facilitates up to five sessions per day.
- Performs various duties as directed to assist in the daily operation of camp, including beverage/lunch duty, early drop-off/late pick-up, attendance, etc.
- Camper Supervision and Safety (40%)
- Maintains constant surveillance of campers, working to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Implements Campus Recreation risk management procedures when necessary. Provides routine and/or emergency care and treatment as needed until the arrival of emergency medical personnel (if necessary), including incident and accident reports.
- Team Collaboration and Communication (10%)
- Communicates effectively with team members and leadership.

- Stress Management and Self-Care (5%)
- Willingness to create a self-care plan and execute during times of stress or concern to ensure the safety and supervision of youth participants.
- Administrative Duties (5%) Completes required
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
- Completion of at least three years of post-secondary education.
- Proven experience working with youth entering grades 1-7.
- Required Licenses & Certifications:
- Employment contingent of the successful completion of a background check and the following training: USNH Protection of Minors, ‘CPR, AED & First-Aid’, Bloodborne Pathogens, Food Handling, and Risk Management training.
- Strong Supervision and Safety Awareness: Ability to maintain constant vigilance and ensure the safety and well-being of youth participants in a variety of settings.
- Program Implementation and Creativity: Knowledge of planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities while fostering a fun and inclusive environment.
- Risk Management and Emergency Response Skills: Familiarity with risk management procedures, with the ability to respond effectively to routine and emergency situations, including administering basic first aid.
- Effective Communication and Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with participants, parents, and colleagues, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience in Youth Program Supervision: Prior experience working with youth in recreational, educational, or camp settings.
- Customer Service Experience: Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service, including communication with parents and guardians.
- Background in Recreation or Education: Coursework or a degree in recreation, education, adolescent development, or a related field.
