Summary Of Position
The Department of Social Work at the University of New Hampshire ( UNH ) invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor position beginning August 20244. We seek a diverse pool of candidates who have experience working with historically under-represented and marginalized populations. These candidates will enhance our Department’s commitment to inclusivity by fostering an environment which supports antiracism and social justice practices. Our program has a focus on generalist practice, advanced generalist, and social justice. We encourage applicants with a diversity of knowledge, backgrounds, and experiences that will contribute to our Department’s inclusive culture.
Duties include teaching six courses per academic year with a focus on undergraduate and graduate social work practice that emphasizes diversity and equity with individuals, families, groups, communities, and organizations. Teaching responsibilities will include teaching courses on weekdays, evenings, and/or some weekends across undergraduate and/or graduate courses with in-person, online, and in hybrid formats. Clinical faculty advise undergraduate and graduate students. Candidates should have experience or the ability to teach courses including social work practice, policy, field internship seminar, and courses including “Race, Culture and Oppression.” Clinical responsibilities may include departmental leadership, responsibility for training students, serving as internship liaisons, conducting site visits, and supervising undergraduate students in senior year internships. Service responsibilities include department, college, community, university, and professional service.
