The Department of Emergency Management and Disaster Science, which houses the nation's first and most respected bachelor's degree program in Emergency Administration and Planning, is committed to promoting societal resilience to disasters and preparing the next generation of emergency management professionals.
Position Summary
The Department of Emergency Management and Disaster Science seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2023, Spring 2024 and Summer 2024 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.

The anticipated need is for Adjunct Instructors for courses that may include but are not limited to: Public Health and Disasters, Managing Disasters at the National Level, Emerging Technology and Disasters, Hazardous Materials, and Continuity Planning for Crises

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in emergency management, disaster science, or closely related discipline and five years professional emergency management experience directly related to the assigned course(s).
Preferred Qualifications
Previous teaching experience at the university level.
