What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Professor, Academic Clinician, Pediatric Sports Medicine position at University of Pennsylvania?

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of General Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of education and clinical care. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in Pediatrics and hold a certificate of Additional Qualification in Sports Medicine.

Teaching responsibilities may include the teaching of residents, fellows, and/or medical students.

Clinical responsibilities may include providing outpatient sports medicine care for sports musculoskeletal injuries as well as concussion, and scoliosis management and evaluating physical activity in pediatric cancer survivors.

Experience in clinical and translational research in musculoskeletal injuries, experience in quality, health services and outcomes as well as medical informatics is preferred.
