Supports clinical research projects by coordinating projects and drug trials, assessing patients' qualifications, and facilitating protocols. Collects and reviews lab results, patient data, and lab specimens; administers medications and protocol-specific treatments. Performs general laboratory duties and specialized nursing duties, trains new staff, and ensures regulatory adherence.

Position directly reports to Dr. Rachel Whelan within the Department of Otolaryngology, Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh
- Seeking a motivated, capable nurse for a hybrid clinical research position studying children and adolescents with obstructive sleep apnea. Job will include creating/maintaining an electronic patient database as well as direct patient care during a specialty sleep clinic. Ideal applicant will have excellent organizational skills, enjoy working in teams, and have some degree of research and clinical experience.
- Must attend in-person clinic every other Wednesday at CHP North location, other days more flexible to accommodate a remote workday.
- Creates and maintains secure electronic patient database
- Helps with IRB creation and patient consent process
- Serves as a centralized point of contact for families navigating diagnosis and treatment of OSA
- Works directly with medical students at home and away institutions to optimize research collaboration
