POSITION SUMMARY:
The Graduate Assistant at the Overland Park Campus will greet students and the public at the front desk as well as assist with operations under the supervision of the Campus Director. This position may include day, evening, weekend, and remote work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Greet campus visitors
- Answer phones
- Assist students with questions regarding Overland Park Campus
- Cleaning and disinfecting classrooms and common areas as needed as part of campus mitigation plan
- Conduct second-hand research and analysis as needed
- Facilitate operations related to room reservations
- Assists campus staff with special projects and general tasks
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- This position resides at the Overland Park Campus
- Bachelor’s degree and enrolled in a graduate program at the University of Saint Mary
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse group of individuals
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadline
- Must be self-starter – able to work with minimal direction/supervision and should possess and demonstrate initiative
- Must be highly motivated, energetic, and a resourceful problem solver
- Excellent customer service skills
- Intermediate level experience with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be able to successfully pass required background screening as appropriate
- Affinity with the overall mission of the University of Saint Mary
