The Events Coordinator assists with all aspects of AHT-sponsored events and activities, including student performances, guest appearances, exhibits, donor-related functions, and other University-sanctioned events. The Event Coordinator must be organized, strategic, a team player, and willing to flex their workload to include nights and weekends when needed. The Event Coordinator, in collaboration with the entire Events Teams, works with campus and community partners to develop new relationships, initiatives, policies and procedures.
Minimum Education and Experience

The Event Coordinator, in collaboration with the entire Events Teams, works with campus and community partners to develop new relationships, initiatives, policies and procedures.
Associate’s degree and two years of event planning or project management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and positively with a wide range of consitiuencies.
- Should have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective, working relationships. Exceptional customer service orientation is essential.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems as well as devise solutions. Should also be able to work independently, as well as to work collaboratively.
- Candidate should process strong organizational, planning and time management skills with the ability to manage concurrent projects and handle multiple priorities at once. Should also have a strong focus on attention to detail. Strong project management skills are essential.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 is essential
- Must be able and willing to lift/carry a minimum of 25 lbs
- Support AHT faculty to plan and execute faculty-driven events ensuring proper procedures are followed, including all required forms and permissions.
- Coordinate AHT events (schedules and logistics) in collaboration with Events Team
- Provide pre-production, event implementation, and post-production logistical support for events as assigned
- Secure technology, facility set-up/design, communications as assigned
- Assist with the AHT-sponsored activities in the ATC lobby and other conference rooms as assigned
- Oversee special needs and ADA-related accommodations of AHT guests and faculty
- Help to create and execute event planning timelines
- Prepare, manage, and document budgets for meetings and events, including costs of production, technical, and promotional needs
- Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of programs and services, and make recommendations for improvements
A remote work schedule is not available for this position

Salary : $42,000 - $47,000
