Food Service Liaison - Casual

UPMC invites you to apply for the position of Food Service Liaison! This flexible, casual role offers variable shifts, including 6:00 am to 2:30 pm or 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. As part of the team, you'll be expected to work every other weekend and holiday, based on staffing needs. Responsibilities:

• Communicates patient concerns or issues promptly to the supervisor or clinical staff, ensuring timely resolution and continuous patient care.
• Handles all phone calls with professionalism, utilizing appropriate telephone etiquette and following up on issues until resolved.
• Processes nutrition care orders quickly and accurately, adhering to established procedures to ensure smooth operations.
• Troubleshoots diet order interface issues, working to identify and resolve any discrepancies, and promptly reporting software or printer malfunctions to the appropriate IS team.
• Prepares tray tickets for food assembly according to workflow procedures, ensuring proper order accuracy and timely food service.
• Assists patients with menu selection based on their specific diet orders, providing friendly and helpful guidance to promote patient satisfaction.
• Maintains detailed records and documentation related to nutrition care, preparing reports as required to ensure compliance and tracking of necessary information.
• Collaborates effectively with other departments and staff members to ensure seamless operation of nutrition services and address patient needs efficiently.
