Work Schedule: This is a DAY/EVENING SHIFT flex- Monday through Friday position. During orientation shift is Monday through Friday 0700-1530, once off orientation candidate will have the option of 8hrs, 10hr or 12hr shifts. Call will involve one weekend every 10^th weekend. No weekday call is required but optional and extremely helpful! Unit is closed for 7 recognized holidays but must sign up for 1 major holiday call shift and 1 minor holiday.


The Professional Staff Nurse, BSN OR is a Registered Nurse and a member of the care delivery team. The Professional Staff Nurse, BSN OR is responsible to set the standards for the level and quality of care. The Professional Staff Nurse, BSN OR has responsibility, authority and accountability for the provision of nursing care. The Professional Staff Nurse, BSN OR manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication and collaboration with all team members. The role of the Professional Staff Nurse, BSN OR encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration and supervision. The Professional Staff Nurse, BSN OR establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, other health care providers, patients and their families, to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care. The Professional Staff Nurse, BSN OR demonstrates a commitment to the community and to the nursing profession.

• Patient preparation
• Assisting the surgical team
• maintaining sterility and safety
• Instrument and equipment management
• Performs scrub role (requirement for RNs hired on or after July 1, 2023).
