Admissions Representative: Immediate Full-Time Opening (Hybrid)
Growing Home Infusion Company is seeking an exceptional Admissions Representative!
As a leader in Home Infusion, we are seeking a special individual who not only possesses strong communication skills but who can respond to each request in a professional, timely manner with a helpful and positive attitude.
Admissions representatives are responsible for the processing and coordination of all new referrals with the main objective of providing a positive experience for the patient. Additionally, they provide support and work collaboratively with all members of the Upstate team(s).

Position Summary:
- Extensive on-board training
- Coordinate all new patient referrals timely and efficiently
- Obtain and review supporting patient documents using internal and external resources. Document case activities, correspondence, and communications in the computer system to ensure accuracy and completeness of account activity.
- Verification of insurance coverage/benefits for new and existing patients.
- Submission of authorizations for pharmacy and nursing services. Follow up to provide additional information, if necessary, track progress, expedite responses from insurance companies
- Triage referrals within the team to service new patients
- Communicate financial obligation information with patients so they clearly understand all therapy costs prior to their services
- Engages with patient, referral source, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharge
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm
- Hybrid possible after 90-day training/probation period proving proficiency
Required Qualifications:
- 1-2 years in customer service
- Comfortable working in a high volume, fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills while engaging with patients, caregivers, and payer representatives, answering questions, and advancing reimbursement and collection efforts.
- Proven ability to identify gaps and problems from a documentation review, determine lasting solutions, make effective decisions, and take necessary corrective action
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and maintain clear, complete records of activities, cases, and related documentation
- Proficient with Math calculations and computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Related healthcare experience with a focus on insurance guidelines, reimbursement and authorization obtainment
- Understanding / knowledge of medical terminology
