What are we looking for?
We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team. The primary function of this position is to assist in the proper staffing of the hospital. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will meet with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and seek out qualified applicants. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage the recruitment process for open positions such as Veterinary Cleaning Associates, Veterinary Assistants, Client Service Representatives and other non-exempt positions.
- Review résumés, complete phone interviews, and conduct in-person (working) interviews. Manage all communication with candidates, internal and external.
- Manage Applicant Tracking System to organize and assess candidate information. Use the ATS as the mode of communication with external candidates and managers.
- Make offers to qualified candidates as discussed and decided upon by the department and related manager.
- Attend recruitment events, including career fairs and on-campus events for all related positions.
- Along with others on the recruitment team, build relationships with NYS veterinary technician programs and other related organizations.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of one to three years of recruitment experience is required. Full-cycle recruitment experience is necessary
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology or Management or related experience is required
- Familiarity with social media, resume databases and professional networks is necessary. A demonstrated ability to creatively source for qualified candidates.
