Join our award-winning organization! UpSwell Marketing, recipient of the Best and Brightest in the Nation award, is currently seeking a Project Analyst to join our dynamic IT team. The Project Analyst analyzes, reviews and documents the requirements of a project throughout its lifecycle. Analyst helps the entire project team complete the project within its planned scope, schedule and budget, while serving as a liaison for the projects technical, functional and non-functional teams. The Analyst is the information hub for projects and programs within the portfolio and involves tracking/reporting, assurance/quality control, information management, change control, support and knowledge management/learning from experience. The Project Analyst will add value through the knowledge, skills and experience of its staff.


Essential Functions

• Support business stakeholders in tracking status of program deliverables and milestones

• Supporting the adoption of project deliverables

• Monitoring the status of projects transitioning into normal service

• Providing timely reporting on the status of project initiatives

• Creating, managing and disbursing reports related to the project

• Maintaining project assets, communications

• Routinely performing complete or component analysis

• Notifying the entire project team about abnormalities or variances

• Organize workshops to identify areas of improvement for projects and documenting recommendations to present

• Continue to evolve the processes and templates throughout the project lifecycle

• Update and administer the program plan as required using reports from Project Managers and the outcomes of project and board level meetings and workshop

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening / weekend may be required as job duties demand.


Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or Associate Degree

• Knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages, including Project, Powerpoint, Word and Excel

• Strong communications skills, both written and verbal

• Understanding of the importance for detail and organization

• Very good prioritization skills to balance key priorities


Preferred Experience

• Knowledge of print and direct mail a plus

• Strong Excel

• Basic knowledge of database design (foreign / primary key, indexes, triggers, etc.) and structured query language (SQL)

• Basic knowledge of development languages (control structures, variables, object orientation, etc.)
