Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Tech to join our dynamic healthcare team in Bergman, AR.
About the Job:
This position will perform x-ray testing, including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology. The ideal candidate will operate diagnostic equipment, develop film, and prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies for procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promptly greet patients when entering waiting areas, exam rooms, and laboratory or x-ray rooms.
- Communicate effectively with patients on wait times and provide direction for the next step in treatment.
- Provide solutions to patient problems and recognize emergent/hazardous situations.
- Execute follow-up calls with urgency.
- Assist front desk personnel with patient check-in/check-out procedures as needed.
- Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs and weight, take brief history, past medical, family, and social history, current medications, allergies, and other pertinent historical information as appropriate.
- Assist with patient transfers.
- Perform radiology procedures directly supervised by providers.
- Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation related to patient visits.
- Perform timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physicians.
- Perform necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed.
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and follow established clinical and regulatory procedures for patient safety and care.
- Maintain current licensure and certification for facility radiology equipment and licensure.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- BLS Certification.
- AR State X-Ray License.
- ARRT Certification preferred.
- Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
