The Group Facilitator is responsible for providing engaging group therapy and timely documentation on KIPU platform.

SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO POSITION:
- Demonstrates knowledge of substance abuse and/or mental health studies and utilizes knowledge and skills to access and meet the client’s treatment needs and requirements.
- Documents as required in EMR system within 24 hours of providing groups.
- Conducts process groups, educational, chemical dependency, and other groups as assigned.
- Ability to work as a team member, demonstrating maturity under stress and objectivity.
- Demonstrates good communication skills.
- Performs in a professional manner and role models a positive image of substance abuse.
- Reports abuse of clients’ rights immediately.
- Participates in obtaining the client’s informed consent for procedures, treatments, and research, as appropriate.
- Acts decisively and effectively in managing staff, clients, and other employees during emergency situation.
- Performs other capacities as needed.
- Being sensitive to Cultural Issues of a patient based on their job position.
- Ability to maintain guidelines of HIPPA and client confidentiality.
- Reporting Suicidality/Homicide of a patient based to their job position.
- Ability of competency and understanding to Addition based on their job position.
- Reporting and responding to issues of Trauma of a patient based on their job position.
- Reporting and responding to issues of Dual – Diagnosis issues of a patient based on their job positions.
Requirements
1. EDUCATION:
- Masters Degree Preferred
2. EXPERIENCE:
- Preferably a minimum of 2 years’ experience with a mental health population.
3. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
- Preferably Licensed, registered and/or actively working towards certification to practice clinical discipline, if applicable.
4. SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Demonstrates Proficiency in Communication, observation & Written skills.
- Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality laws.
- Knowledge of Drug-Free Workplace Policies.
- Knowledge of Workplace Violence.
- Knowledge of Corporate Integrity & Ethics
- Knowledge of addictions.
- Ability to interact with a multi-disciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health.
- Knowledge of the 12-Step Recovery Program.
- Knowledge and competency in problem solving, stress management, ethics and team building.
- Knowledge of alcohol and other drugs that includes;
- Alcohol and addictive drugs and their physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual impact on the individual.
- Alcohol and addictive drugs and their impact on the family.
- Ability to determine if a medical emergency exists and to take appropriate action, when necessary.
- Knowledge of emergency procedures used in case of alcohol and/or drug overdose.
- Knowledge of First Aid and CPR.
- Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction, including:
- Confidentiality
- Patient Rights
- Professional Code of Ethics
- Discrimination
- Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description which are related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team.
Salary : $75 - $100
