The Navy Commissioned Physician role is designed for healthcare professionals who want to make a difference in the lives of service members and their families. You will work at top military medical facilities on shore, at sea, or in the field, collaborating with fellow healthcare professionals and partners from organizations such as FEMA and USAID.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose ailments, treat injuries, and save lives as a part of the highly respected Navy healthcare team
- Work closely with International Relief Teams and other organizations to provide humanitarian aid

Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Hold an MD or DO degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy
- Be licensed to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico
- Be eligible for board certification
- Have completed at least one year of an approved graduate medical education internship
- Be between 21 and 42 years of age (waivers are granted on a case-by-case basis up to age 68)
