As a Navy Physician and Officer, you will provide high-quality medical care for Sailors, Marines, service members, and their families. Your duties will include diagnosing ailments, treating injuries, and saving lives. You will work at top military medical facilities on shore, at sea, and in the field.
You will collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals, partner with International Relief Teams, and operate as a leader within your focus area. Serving part-time as a Reservist, your duties will be carried out during scheduled drilling and training periods.
During monthly drilling, physicians typically work close to their homes, giving them flexibility to expand their medical experience in the Navy without compromising their civilian practice. For annual training, physicians may serve anywhere in the world.

To qualify, you must hold a MD or DO degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy. You must also have a current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico, and be eligible for board certification.
In addition, you must complete at least one year of an approved graduate medical education internship and be between 21 and 42 years of age (waivers are granted on a case-by-case basis up to age 68).
