As a Navy Physician and Officer in the Medical Corps, you will provide high-quality medical care for Sailors, Marines, service members, their families, and humanity at large. You will handle routine tasks such as diagnosing ailments, treating injuries, and saving lives, while also having the opportunity to move beyond routine by:
- Working at top military medical facilities on shore, at sea, or in the field
- Joining top healthcare professionals on the valued Navy healthcare team
- Collaborating with fellow doctors and other healthcare officers, and partnering with international relief teams and organizations
- Operating as a leader within your focus area and gaining exposure outside your specialty
As a Reservist, your duties will be carried out during scheduled drilling and training periods. During monthly drilling, physicians typically work close to their homes, allowing for flexibility to expand their medical experience without compromising their civilian practice.
During annual training, physicians may serve anywhere in the world, whether at sea, in hospitals stateside, or in bases and camps abroad.
