Your Impact

As a Navy Physician and Officer in the Navy Medical Corps, you'll lead a highly respected team providing high-quality medical care for Sailors, Marines, service members, their families, and humanity at large. You'll diagnose ailments, treat injuries, and save lives, with opportunities to move beyond routine:

Serving Part-Time

As a Reservist, your duties will be carried out during scheduled drilling and training periods. During monthly drilling, physicians typically work at a location close to their homes, allowing for flexibility in expanding their medical experience in the Navy without compromising their civilian practice.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply with a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG)
• Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico
• Eligibility for board certification
• Completion of at least one year of an approved graduate medical education internship
• Between 21 and 42 years of age (waivers are granted on a case-by-case basis up to age 68)
• U.S. citizenship (non-waivable)
