As a current or former Navy Surface Warfare Officer, there are numerous part-time opportunities to utilize your leadership skills and talent in an ever-changing environment. The mission of the Navy Reserve is to provide strategic depth and deliver operational capabilities to the Navy and Marine Corps team, as well as Joint forces, during times of peace or war.

Education Opportunities

Navy Reserve Sailors continue to hold educational opportunities through Tuition Assistance, DANTES, and their post 9/11 or Montgomery GI Bill. Further education opportunities are also available through the US Naval War College and Senior Enlisted Academy, as well as certifications and licenses available through the Navy Credentialing Opportunities Online (COOL).

Qualifications and Requirements

If you are currently in the Inactive Ready Reserve or have been off active duty for over six months, then you will need to work with a Navy Officer Recruiter to begin the process of affiliating with the RC.
