What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Operator position at US Trades?
US Trades is seeking an experience Telehandler Operator for a long term, new construction project in Utah. This project is scheduled for 18 months, with a base schedule of 5-10's. The Telehandler Operator will play a critical role in material handling and equipment placement across multiple trades as the project progresses.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate a telehandler safely and efficiently on an active industrial construction site
• Work closely with civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical crews to unload, stage, and move materials
• Set and place materials and equipment including, but not limited to:
o Re-bar cages
o Concrete forms
o Structural steel
o Palletized materials, crates, and large equipment components
• Maintain constant awareness of surroundings, rigging, and personnel to ensure safe lifts and placement
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report any issues immediately
• Follow all site-specific safety rules, lift plans, and operator requirements
Required Qualifications
• OSHA 10 certification
• Proven experience operating a telehandler (Lull) on large construction projects
• Strong understanding of load capacities, reach charts, and proper material handling techniques
• Ability to work safely around multiple trades in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded
Preferred Qualifications
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Telehandler or Class 7 forklift license
Work Schedule
• 5 days per week, 10 hours per day (5×10s)
• Long-term assignment scheduled through August 2027
