Planner 2 Life Unlimited. At Smith Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living. The Planner II is responsible for managing the strategic planning and scheduling of supplies for the organization. This role involves analyzing market trends, developing production plans, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of medical supplies. The Planner II will work closely with other departments to ensure that the organization has the necessary supplies to meet patient needs while also ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to budgetary constraints. What will you be doing? Develop and implement production planning strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives Analyze market trends and demand patterns to inform production plans Monitor adherence to inventory levels to ensure that adequate supplies are available to meet demand while minimizing waste and excess inventory Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of supplies and identify potential risks to supply chain continuity Collaborate with other departments to ensure that medical supplies are available when needed to meet patient needs Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and timely delivery Continuously evaluate and improve planning processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs Maintain accurate records of production and inventory data Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards Identify and manage risks associated with planning activities Mentor and train junior planning staff as needed What will you need to be successful? Education: Bachelor ‘s Degree is required Experience: 3-5 years of experience in planning or supply chain management, preferably in the medical supply industry Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications Knowledge of planning and scheduling best practices Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively Experience developing and implementing production planning strategies Experience mentoring and training junior planning staff preferred You.
