Are you looking for a fun and rewarding job coaching children between the ages of 2 and 7? This is the perfect job for someone fun, enthusiastic, and dedicated to working with younger children!
We are seeking to hire part-time sports coaches for our Preschool Sports programs. Work is typically scheduled on the weekends, in 3-hour blocks with three 50-minute classes in this period. Candidates must be able to commit to classes for the entirety of the season. This is an opportunity to not only inspire the next generation of sports enthusiasts but to also develop yourself as a coach or as an educator.
As a Preschool Sports Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for working with young children, ages 2 to 7 years old, on any of the following programs: Parent & Me Squirts (ages 2 to 3), Sports Squirts (ages 3 to 5), or Senior Sports (ages 5 to 7). It is preferred that candidates have experience working with children. Our programs are sports-based, so having a background in sports or physical education is preferred.
You will be required to attend a Virtual Introductory Hiring Presentation to learn more about USA Sport Group and the coaching opportunities available as the first step of the recruitment process. Our Virtual Introductory Hiring Presentations will be held on various dates throughout May/June.
Following the zoom, all candidates will be required to attend a practical, in-person event to gain approval to coach with us (Priority will be given to candidates who can attend an in-person event from 9am to 12pm on Saturday, June 3rd in Westchester County). Successful hires at these events will then attend mandatory, paid training and receive the full uniform, equipment, and curriculums needed.
*Weekly classes will run through July. Camp coaches are needed for the weeks of August 7th, 14th, and 21st*
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Previous coaching or teaching experience (preferred)
- An ability to coach multiple sports
- An ability to transport sports equipment/the ability to go to different coaching locations within their scheduled hours
- A fun personality to engage children
- Be reliable, dependable, and on time
- A desire to learn and to improve as a coach
- Passion for working with young children
- Great communication and time management skills
- Weekend Availability

This position requires consistent weekend availability with after-school hour availability desirable. Some midweek morning hours may be available but limited.
