Education And Experience »
- Five years network engineering experience.
- Experience with troubleshooting cabling (a plus).
- Good experience with Layer 1 rack and stack.
- Good experience with cable management.
- Good experience with fiber troubleshooting (there will be a good amount of walking) 15-20% will be cable management and fiber troubleshooting.
- Good experience with Cisco routing and switching, there will be a LOT of switch work.
- Good experience with how firewalls work and firewall policies.
- Huge Plus: Experience with PALO ALTO firewalls and routing.
Job Responsibilities:
- Rack and stack equipment.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and deploy equipment (switches, APs, PDUs, etc.)
- Network equipment inventory management.
- Clean up cabling in IDFs.
- Wireless LAN configuration and maintenance.
- Gather and compile documentation and diagrams as required.
- Update and maintain network management application databases and CMDB tools.
- Proactively address business process issues regarding networks through network architecture design, development, and implementation as well as business process re-engineering.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
