Accounting Manager

As the Accounting Manager, you will play a highly visible, high-impact role in establishing and shaping our accounting function. Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable processing and record incoming cash.
• Maintain and update project information in the accounting system.
• Run bi-weekly payroll and handle related items such as bonuses and distributions.
• Prepare and analyze accounts receivable aging and outstanding balances.
• Create, post, and review customer invoices and billings.
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
• Record journal entries, including prepaid expenses.
• Perform year-end close of income and expense accounts and confirm all AP/AR invoices are posted.
• Process labor reallocations and invoice adjustments as needed.
• Prepare project financial reports, including billing status, outstanding amounts, and cost summaries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3-7 years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes
• Experience with payroll, AP/AR, and reconciliations
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience in project accounting or professional services a plus
