Job Description:
The Keystone Lift Operations team is looking for enthusiastic and outdoor-oriented individuals to spend the winter with our team. At Keystone, guest service is our #1 goal and we depend on our Lift Operators to ensure a safe and fun experience for everyone at the resort. The position’s major responsibilities are interaction with guests, safe operation of chairlift equipment during (day/night), and overseeing the safety of guests while they are around equipment.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain lift ramp and snow removal.
- Physically assist children and handicapped skiers onto chairlifts.
- Contacting lift maintenance if mechanical problems develop.
- Works extensively with the Ski Patrol / Ski School / Grooming.
- May be called on to scan tickets if required.
- Boost children onto lift along with other guests and shovel snow.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to stand outside in inclement weather for long periods of time
- May lift up to 100 lbs., assistance is available for heavy lifting.
- Must be able to make quick decisions regarding safety.
- Must be able to maintain control and rational demeanor in emotionally charged situations involving guests and/or employees.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
