What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Accountant position at Valenti Real Estate?
We are looking for an energetic and organized property accountant to join our team. This position will be responsible for completing or assisting with full cycle accounting for a portfolio of subsidized apartments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process month-end close for a portfolio of properties
- Complete bank recs, GL review, and financial reporting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities
- Prepare annual work papers for audit and tax purposes
- Assist with creating and reviewing budgets
- Support A/P Clerk with processing payables and receivables
- Complete ad hoc projects as needed
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Real estate industry experience preferred; Yardi experience helpful.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong accounting and general ledger knowledge and experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Meticulous attention to details and accuracy
