What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardlock Maintenance Specialist position at Valley Pacific Petroleum Services?
Valley Pacific is looking for a Cardlock Maintenance person based out of Eureka, CA. This employee represents Valley Pacific to the Commercial users at assigned Commercial fueling sites. They act in accordance with the company’s code of ethics and mission statement to safely maintain the sites to meet and exceed customer expectations, maintain Valley Pacific’s image, and comply with local, state and national regulations. This person will work to maintain sites and equipment in the Eureka region. This person will interact with Valley Pacific personnel in operations and sales and will work directly with customers and regulators. They must be professional in dress and demeanor, have good interpersonal skills, remain calm in demanding situations and is highly self-motivated, requiring little supervision or follow-up.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Maintain commercial fueling facilities image and operation: clean spills; perform daily inspection of sites and equipment; sweep, blow and clean cardlock equipment and areas; clean and empty garbage; maintain site supplies; maintain site image and marketing materials.
Assist in installing/troubleshooting/repairing cardlock controls, dispensing equipment and remote tank monitoring equipment.
Perform and submit daily site inspections.
Maintain landscape (Weed, trim, spray)
Smoothly and diplomatically coordinate with Sales, Accounting and Distribution personnel.
Be observant of changing customer expectations within the competitive environment: Makes suggestions as to how we can adapt.
Maintain a good relationship with customers, company personnel, Regulators, and suppliers.
Able and willing to respond to emergencies, urgent or unusual situations (spill/mix cleanups, fires, accidents, urgent customer demands, weekend, holiday, and overnight assignments).
Take good care of company vehicle and equipment.
Turn in all required paperwork and documentation in timely, legibly, and accurate manner.
Carries out specific assignments as directed by supervisor or other company management.
ICC certs for Designated Operator and Repair Technician a plus.
