X-RAY TECHNOLOGIST
The physicians of Valley Radiology Consultants have been serving the North San Diego County area since 1971, providing our patients with an advanced array of diagnostic imaging and pain management services in two outpatient centers in Poway and Escondido. Our group of physicians is accompanied by a dedicated support staff of technologists, administrative staff and management, and we would like for you to join our team as an X-Ray Technologist.
In this position, you will be responsible for performing a variety of imaging exams in an outpatient setting. Your work is vital in helping Valley Radiology Consultants achieve our mission of providing excellence in diagnostic imaging services focused on uncompromised patient care, referring physician satisfaction and commitment to the patients and community we serve.
As an outpatient clinic, we are closed on Sundays and nights. Qualified candidates with all schedule requirements are welcome to apply. Position is Full-Time, but Part-Time and Per Diem status candidates can be considered depending on schedule availability.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing routine to complex radiographic exams using fixed and portable imaging equipment, in accordance with established guidelines and protocols.
- Providing an exceptional patient experience in all situations
- Transmitting images and information using picture archiving and other communications systems
- Documenting the performance, interpretation, and outcomes of all procedures performed
- Monitoring processes and images to ensure quality control
- May train to perform Dexa scans
- Working within the safety standards and regulatory requirements and participates in quality control (QC) and continuing medical education (CME).
- Calibrating and operating ultrasound equipment
- Demonstrate and apply knowledge of principles of radiation safety
Requirements:
- Current ARRT, CPR, CRT license
- Minimum 1 year Radiology Tech experience required, with previous outpatient clinic work desired
- Experience working in a high-volume imaging center while providing exceptional patient focused care
- BLS
- Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as part of a team
- Must maintain strict confidentiality at all times
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
