Maintenance Director – Full-Time
Valley Vista Nursing and Rehabilitation | Newton, IA
Pay: $25–$30 per hour (based on experience)
Valley Vista Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Director to lead our Environmental Services Department. This is a key leadership role responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the Maintenance and Environmental Services Department
Ensure the facility, equipment, and grounds are maintained in excellent working order
Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment
Train and supervise maintenance staff to follow all safety protocols, including fire safety and infection control procedures
Conduct regular facility rounds to identify and address maintenance and safety issues
Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors when needed
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of maintenance or environmental services experience, preferably in a supervisory role
Experience in healthcare or long-term care settings is a strong plus
Familiarity with environmental control practices and basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
Strong organizational and communication skills
