Job Summary:
We’re seeking a highly skilled Equipment Electronics Technician (EET) with strong electrical, electronic, and control systems expertise to join our Maintenance team in Maryland. This role is essential for supporting and relieving the Maintenance Manager in managing all electrical and control-related tasks throughout the facility.
The ideal candidate will be the go-to resource for electrical systems troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance. In addition to hands-on technical responsibilities, this role includes administrative duties and support for facility-related PMs.

Key Responsibilities:
Electrical & Controls Focus:
- Take primary ownership of all electrical, electronic, and control systems tasks across the facility.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair high- and low-voltage systems, PLCs, servo drives, HMIs, sensors, and motor controls.
- Read and interpret complex wiring schematics and control diagrams.
- Support and relieve the Maintenance Manager in planning and executing electrical projects, upgrades, and improvements.
Technical Maintenance:
- Perform preventive maintenance, equipment setup, and repairs in alignment with SQF and GMP standards.
- Collaborate with mechanics and other team members to support uninterrupted production.
- Maintain and improve control system functionality for high-speed packaging and manufacturing equipment.
Facilities PM Support:
- Perform general maintenance on facility infrastructure (e.g., lighting, HVAC, plumbing, building systems).
- Support facility-related repairs and work order coordination.
- Assist in preparing for facility audits and safety walkthroughs.
Administrative & Reporting Duties:
- Accurately maintain daily logs and activity reports in RedZone and Paycom.
- Assist with inventory tracking, parts requisitions, and vendor coordination.
- Support scheduling of maintenance tasks and help ensure timely work order completion.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with PLCs, motor controls, sensors, and automation equipment
- Ability to interpret complex schematics and technical documentation
- Familiarity with CMMS software or willingness to learn
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
- Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) preferred
- Self-starter with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in electrical/electronic systems preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance
- Experience with automation, control systems, or food manufacturing equipment is a strong plus
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs safely
- Comfortable working at heights and using ladders or lifts
- Must be able to stand, walk, climb, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Work is performed primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor work as needed
- Fast-paced manufacturing setting with exposure to noise and equipment
