Position Summary: The Assistant Superintendent will assist the onsite Superintendent. The Assistant Superintendent will support the Superintendent with onsite management of subcontractors and compliance with safety regulations. They will ensure quality standards are met and will be the backup contact onsite for contractors, inspectors, clients, architects, and engineers. The Assistant Superintendent will not only assist in the superintendent duties but may also perform the duties of a laborer. They may perform physical tasks such as cleaning, removing debris, loading, and unloading materials, assembling and disassembling temporary structures, and assisting in any carpentry work performed by Vantage Builders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Superintendent will uphold all of the duties of the Superintendent and will work to develop all skills and responsibilities of the Superintendent.
- Assist with creation of project schedule (two-week look ahead).
- Attend client meetings to better gauge their needs.
- Build positive relationships with clients and subcontractors.
- Conduct health and safety inspections.
- Maintain a safe and clean jobsite. Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials.
- Follow all safety procedures on the job site in accordance with the Vantage Safety Program, including but not limited to 100% PPE requirement, building/client specific safety programs and OSHA compliance. Will also report violations immediately to the superintendent.
- Report incidents immediately to Superintendent and/or Human Resources in accordance with incident reporting procedures established by the company.
- Ability to manage project sites if needed.
- Create and manage punch-list.
- High school diploma, plus 2-5 years construction experience.
- Massachusetts Construction Supervisor’s License preferred.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- Proficient knowledge of Procore.
- Self-motivated and passionate about delivering exceptional client service.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills a plus.
- Detail-oriented and strong follow-up skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
- Flexible work hours.
