Guidewire Billing Center Technical Lead
Location: Urbandale, IA / Manassas, VA (Hybrid, remote as a last option for strong candidates still their preference is onsite hybrid)
We are seeking a Guidewire BillingCenter Technical Lead to join our client. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the technical implementation of Guidewire state rollouts, providing technical guidance to junior developers, and coordinating with both offshore and onsite teams. The ideal candidate will possess deep hands-on experience in Guidewire BillingCenter development, including configuration and integration, and a proven track record of successful end-to-end implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical leader for Guidewire BillingCenter projects, guiding junior team members and providing expert support.
- Lead Guidewire state rollouts and drive technical feasibility assessments for new requirements.
- Dedicate approximately 40% of time to hands-on development work for configuration and integration within BillingCenter.
- Review offshore development work, ensuring quality in areas such as PCF configuration, business rules, and data model creation.
- Act as a key coordinator between onsite and offshore teams to resolve production incidents and manage team status communication.
- Collaborate with other service providers and integration owners to maintain application stability.
Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience with Guidewire BillingCenter modules.
- Proven experience in a complete end-to-end Guidewire BillingCenter implementation.
- Deep knowledge of BillingCenter configuration, including customizing billing methods, delinquency workflows, cancellation/reinstatement logic, and batch processes.
- Expertise in Guidewire Gosu, APIs, methods, rules, and processes.
- Strong experience with web services (WSDL, SOAP, XML, REST) and various code versioning systems (e.g., SVN).
- Experience with SQL Server or DB2 databases and application servers like WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, or JBoss.
- Must be a Certified Guidewire BillingCenter professional.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working directly with customers.
- Experience with REST/SOAP web services.
