THE TEAM

Modern in experience and timeless in taste, Velvet Buffalo Modern Italian delivers fresh ingredients with a side of rustic charm. Our rotating seasonal menu features thoughtfully crafted dishes made from scratch that are inspired by the many regions of Italy–from house-made pasta and artisan-style bread to sustainably sourced seafood and our own spin on traditional desserts. At Velvet Buffalo, we do classics really well.

THE PLAYER

You will serve customers and present great customer service by providing information to help with seating and carry-out orders. You must possess a positive personality as you will be the first impression that a guest receives about the restaurant.

EVERY DAY, YOU WILL

• Introduce yourself and greet customers with a smile and a welcoming attitude; maintain eye contact with the customer when speaking to them and acknowledge their requests
• Understanding the seating arrangements and timing of every table to be sat
• Communicating with servers to ensure service is provided in a timely manner
• Check back with the tables to help ensure great service
• Understand server patterns and what they are capable of in order to provide quality customer service
• Prepares dining room by setting tables with clean, full condiments and tabletop menus
• Ensure carry-out orders are properly rung in and packaged before guest leaves

Requirements

YOU WILL BE GREAT AT VELVET BUFFALO IF

• You have basic math skills and legible handwriting
• You have strong customer service and verbal communication skills
• You are 16 years or older
• You are regularly able to talk and hear
• You are comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching
• You are able to occasionally lift products weighing up to 50 pounds
