Position: IT Consultant 3 | W2-CONTRACT ROLE

Location: Columbus, OH

Work Type: Hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Development Lead to design overall system architecture, define components, and select appropriate frameworks and technologies
• Provide technical leadership, guide development teams, mentor junior developers, and oversee project execution
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and align technical solutions with business objectives
• Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, design patterns, and best practices
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, optimize performance, and ensure scalability and system resilience
• Develop and maintain architectural documentation, technical specifications, and design artifacts

Required Experience

• Designing and architecting Java-based applications in an AWS environment
• Managing large, mission-critical software implementations for public sector organizations
• Strong communication skills with experience in status reporting, feature tracking, upgrades, and backlog management
• Experience using AI tools to support application development and testing
• Application modernization experience on AWS or Azure platforms

• Expert in all versions of the Perl Programming Language
• Experience with Java, React full stack development
• Experience with MySQL, MariaDB
• Designing and architecting Java applications for an AWS environment
• Managing a large, mission-critical software implementation for a public owner
