📋 Role Summary: The Director of Risk Management will oversee patient safety and risk management activities. This role involves managing claim functions, conducting risk assessments, performing root cause analyses, and leading the Patient Safety Council. You'll work closely with department directors and the executive team to implement risk reduction strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory standards🎓 Skills and Certifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
- Current RN license in Nevada if the candidate is a Registered Nurse.
- Experience:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Risk Management.
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Joint Commission standards, CMS/DHS regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with techniques such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and quality tools.
- Understanding of statistical analysis and Six Sigma (Lean) principles preferred.
- Proficiency in PC applications and ability to interact well with clinical personnel, medical staff, and the public.
