Position Overview
VerbaCare is hiring Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to support school-based speech therapy programs across Contra Costa County and the East Bay Area. We welcome new graduate SLPAs and experienced assistants who are passionate about helping K-12 students improve their speech, language, fluency, and social communication skills, under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs).

π οΈ Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed SLPs in delivering speech-language therapy services
- Provide direct support to students with communication disorders (articulation, language, fluency, pragmatics)
- Prepare therapy materials, assist with data collection, and monitor student progress
- Follow therapy plans and protocols as directed by supervising SLPs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and special education teams
- Maintain confidential student records per HIPAA compliance
π Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or certificate in Speech Language Pathology Assistance or related field
- Valid California SLPA license (or eligibility to obtain one)
- New graduate SLPAs encouraged to apply β clinical supervision provided
- Familiarity with school-based therapy & IEPs preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
