The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the duties of the position, and do not include all the tasks that the incumbent may be required to perform.  The incumbent must be able to perform all of the essential functions of this job, either with or without reasonable accommodation.

Position Summary:

Provides direction and instruction to ensure operational objectives and work plans are met.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:          

1. Communicates daily work flow processes on production floor to line leads, ensuring leads understand the work flow priorities for the day.
2. Directs daily contact with temporary staffing agencies to ensure personnel labor needs are met.
3. Records and reports all hours worked for both full time and temporary staff and assigns weekly schedule including days off.
4. Monitors productivity of personnel.
5. Handles all aspects of line clearance before and after each changeover.
6. Gathers and reviews all paperwork turned in from Line Leads regarding overall operation of machine on a daily basis.
7. Ensures overall cleanliness within the Packaging operation.
8. Coordinates daily assignment of all line workers to a particular machine and job.
9. Coordinates the cross training of all line workers on various job duties.
10. Prepares employee annual performance evaluations in conjunction with input from line leads.
11. Coaches and counsels employees and performs disciplinary action as required in conjunction with Assistant Production Manager.
12. Participates in production meetings.
13. Reviews daily production downtime for material or labor issues.

Marginal Functions:

1. Assists in inventory control ensuring the amount of inventory is on hand for each project.
2. Assists in assigning product to particular production line

Job Specifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Prior supervisory experience, preferred.
3. Ability to prioritize and understand special projects.
4. Ability to understand, enforce and follow company policies and procedures.
5. Prior experience in a fast pace production environment, preferred.
6. Familiarity of working with temporary staffing agencies.
7. Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office and software applications.
8. Good leadership skills.
