What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Technician position at Vesuvius USA?
The Sr. Laboratory Technician position will be more involved in detailed testing and use of equipment. Data collection as well as some analysis is expected. Successful candidate can note deviations in performance not anticipated. May occasionally have contact with internal and external customers and vendors
- Key Result Areas:
- Performs tests and set-up on numerous pieces of equipment.
- Extracts and processes test data.
- Performs routine analysis to check accuracy, applicability, and reasonableness of test data.
- May construct components of equipment or setup nonstandard experiments.
- Employee is occasionally required to exercise independent judgment as to specific method.
- Requires occasional use of organizational and planning skills.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associates Degree or related work experience preferred.
Experience:
If no Associates Degree, related laboratory experience
Knowledge:
Knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
Skills & Behavior:
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work well with others
Critical thinking using logic and reasoning
Attention to detail
Basic computer skills
Environmental Conditions:
Work is completed 100% inside.
