What You’ll Do
- Install new Fiber Optic Network facilities (buried underground and possible aerial)
- Pothole existing utilities, place various sized vaults/handholes/manholes, excavating trenches/holes, core drilling building entrances, setting marker post, placing fiber cables
- Haul and move equipment from project to project
- Perform other duties as required
- Fiber Optic or Utility Construction experience is desired, but willing to train on the job
- At least 18 years of age and hold a current driver’s license; CDL endorsement a plus
- Able to perform manual tasks requiring frequent walking, stooping, crouching, reaching, lifting, digging, pushing and pulling
- Able to lift materials weighing up to 100 pounds
- Able to work outside in all elements
- Must be able to travel for extended periods of time (overnight and weekly stays required)
- Able to pass all pre-employment checks, including substance screen, criminal background, and motor vehicle record checks.
- Must have an eye for detail and a solid work ethic
