Qualifications

VNE, LLC is looking for a Secret Cleared Logistician III

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree.

Experience:

  • Seven (7) years of experience in defense life-cycle (acquisition) logistics support of electronic systems, to include: logistics management, principles, practices, and processes.
  • Experience shall include at least four (4) years of support with C4ISR or similar systems, to include: Analyzing Engineering/Systems Management Data, Developing Logistics Plans and Procedures, and Developing Logistics Management Plans and Guidelines.
  • Secret level Clearance required.

Job Description:

VNE is seeking a Logistician III to help provide program management, systems engineering, and logistics support services to the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic.

The Logistician III provides technical expertise and support in one or more of the following areas:

  • Provide integrated logistics support to include:
    • Working closely with the engineering team during planning cycles for system acquisition efforts to ensure logistics considerations are included in plan and schedule development.
    • Supporting a system reliability program.
    • Preparing a FMECA to identify all system failure modes using MIL-STD-1629A and SAE JA1011/1012 as guidance and prepare a FMECA report.
    • Developing and maintaining a closed loop failure reporting system, procedures for the analysis of failures to determine the root cause, and documentation for recording corrective actions taken.
    • Supporting the DMSMS plan and issuing reports quarterly.
    • Conducting initial sparing analyses and supporting the development of sparing recommendations for systems under development or new features/components derived from system modifications or modernization efforts.
    • Performing software license management, planning, tracking, and distribution, to include associated documents and interaction with software vendors, Program Representatives, Marine Corps Software Enterprise License Management System (MCSELMS), and Marine Corps Common Hardware Suite (MCHS).
    • Developing training materials and delivering new equipment training.
  • Provide equipment and material support to include:
    • Researching and procuring equipment and/or material in support of the performance requirements. This includes certifying that supply purchases are from authorized resellers and/or distributors; ensuring all products recommended and/or procured meet cybersecurity and computer requirements; ensuring all acquired electronic parts comply with the notification, inspection, testing, and authentication requirement IAW DFARS 252.246-7008 specific to electronic parts; and ensuring that certain delivered items manufactured, integrated, or purchased (depending if item meets a unit cost threshold, is serially managed, or if government specifies identification required) have an item unique identification or Unique Item Identifier (UII).
    • Providing warranty tracking and management. This includes following the requirements for any serialized item manufactured or acquired that come with a warranty IAW DFARS 252.246-7005/7006 and tracking the applicable government acceptance dates/receipt dates against the serial number of equipment or the lowest replaceable unit (LRU) of the system.

Essential Duties of the Job:

  • Ability to communicate task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lead and participate in meetings and working groups.
  • Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard.
  • Must be able to attend work each day, during scheduled hours, unless on travel or approved time off.
  • Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • May be exposed to chemicals related to office equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (i.e. general office environment).
