Job description:Key contributor to understanding process effects on diverse materials and components used in high volume electronics products. Work with team of quality, packaging, manufacturing, mechanical and electrical engineers to identify and understand product quality and reliability issues, and material and component failure mechanisms. Mentor other engineers and technicians on the implementation of analytical tools and interpretation of data. Develop test methods to address new analysis requirements and provide training.
• BS in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
• Background in analytical techniques such as sample cross-sectioning, optical microscopy, SEM, EDS, mechanical testing, acoustic microscopy, TGA, DSC and TMA.
• Knowledge of basic electronics, troubleshooting and competency in electronics failure analysis and materials testing a plus. Experience in a fast-paced lab environment preferred.
• Working knowledge/experience in the application of Gage R&R studies, design of experiments and statistical analysis a plus.
