What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiac Monitor Specialist (CMS) position at Virginia Cardiovascular Specialists?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Daily review and documentation of remote device checks, alerts, patient enrollment and equipment requests from Merlin, Latitude, Carelink and Biotronik
- Ensures prompt provider notification of all actionable/urgent alert items.
- Timely reporting on all transmissions (both alert and scheduled) utilizing the clinic’s SOP
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and under the supervision of the Device Clinic Coordinator
- Assist patients with telephone inquiries concerning report transmission, device set-up, schedule and other device related questions.
- Respond in a timely manner to intracompany communications
- Clear the device manufacturer websites (dismissing transmissions) after completion.
- Cross train to provide Holter analysis coverage as needed.
- Perform any and all other duties directed by the Device Clinic Coordinator
