Virtus Healthcare Staffing is searching for a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our partner's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Sierra Vista, AZ. As an RN in the ICU, you will be a vital member of a multidisciplinary team, responsible for the ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for acutely ill patients. You will utilize your expertise to manage complex patient cases, operate sophisticated medical technology, and perform life-saving interventions. This position requires the ability to remain calm under pressure and take appropriate action to ensure the safety and well-being of your patients.

• Provide comprehensive, round-the-clock nursing care to critically ill patients.

• Perform continuous patient monitoring, including vital signs and physiological data.

• Administer medications and treatments, including the management of ventilators, life-support systems, and IV drips.

• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.

• Accurately document all patient progress, nursing observations, and interventions in the medical record.

• Provide clear communication and education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and patient conditions.

• Required Skills:

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

• Education and Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

  • A minimum of one to two years of recent ICU experience is preferred.

• Licenses and Certifications:

  • An active Arizona or Compact State Registered Nurse (RN) License is required.

  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are standard for this role and will be required.
