Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Part-Time Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant. This role combines bookkeeping expertise, organizational skills, and human resources experience to support our growing business. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, efficient, and reliable, with a passion for accuracy and problem-solving.
Location: 8110 Cypress Plaza Dr, Jacksonville, FL 32256
Schedule: Flexible, 10-20 hours per week
Pay: $16-$25 per hour
Qualifications
- Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial concepts
- Experience with double entry bookkeeping and general ledger accounting
- Skilled in balance sheet reconciliation and journal entries
- Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes
- Familiarity with payroll and tax experience
- Ability to prepare financial reports and perform account reconciliations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration.
- Experience working in a small business environment.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping
Key responsibilities:
Bookkeeping:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reimbursements promptly.
- Collaborate with external accountants or tax preparers as needed.
Human Resources:
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing employee documentation.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR regulations.
- Support recruitment efforts by posting job ads and scheduling interviews.
- Help develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
Administrative Assistance:
- Organize and maintain physical and digital files, ensuring confidentiality.
- Coordinate appointments, meetings, and company events.
- Respond to emails, phone calls, and other correspondence professionally.
- Monitor office supplies and place orders as necessary.
