Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Part-Time Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant. This role combines bookkeeping expertise, organizational skills, and human resources experience to support our growing business. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, efficient, and reliable, with a passion for accuracy and problem-solving.

Location: 8110 Cypress Plaza Dr, Jacksonville, FL 32256

Schedule: Flexible, 10-20 hours per week

Pay: $16-$25 per hour

Qualifications

  • Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial concepts
  • Experience with double entry bookkeeping and general ledger accounting
  • Skilled in balance sheet reconciliation and journal entries
  • Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Familiarity with payroll and tax experience
  • Ability to prepare financial reports and perform account reconciliations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration.
  • Experience working in a small business environment.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping

Key responsibilities:

Bookkeeping:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Process invoices, payments, and expense reimbursements promptly.
  • Collaborate with external accountants or tax preparers as needed.

Human Resources:

  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing employee documentation.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR regulations.
  • Support recruitment efforts by posting job ads and scheduling interviews.
  • Help develop and implement HR policies and procedures.

Administrative Assistance:

  • Organize and maintain physical and digital files, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Coordinate appointments, meetings, and company events.
  • Respond to emails, phone calls, and other correspondence professionally.
  • Monitor office supplies and place orders as necessary.
