disabled populations? Vital Research is seeking a non-clinical Research Coordinator responsible for supporting our
Aging & Disabilities team with fast-paced large-scale research projects. Coordinators collaborate
with Research Managers and Data Specialists in the coordination of Quality of Life projects.
The individual must be driven, organized, extremely detail-oriented, and possess the ability
to work both independently and as part of a team. In addition, the Coordinator must possess
strong time management skills while multi-tasking across multiple, simultaneous projects. If you are

This position reports to the Research Manager and is responsible for supporting research and evaluation
projects. This includes, but is not limited to, coordination of all project aspects, staff supervision, client,
and prospect relations. This position requires skill in planning, organizing, and coordinating the delivery
of services.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Coordinate project management plans and maintain project schedules.
• Recruit, screen, and oversee field staff.
• Coordinate logistics for field staff training and vendor management.
• Draft training materials, newsletters, and reports.
• Assist with virtual and in-person field staff training.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate all survey administration activities.
• Coordinate team meetings, meeting notes, and document project action items.
• Maintain online data platforms, including web surveys and dashboards.
• Assist with data collection (e.g. phone interviews, quality assurance calls).
• Use a variety of software tools to organize, match, and process data files from multiple sources,
including Excel, mapping software, and Access.
• Test mobile survey programs, including all survey logic.
• Document current processes and procedures and identify more efficient and effective ways of
doing work.
• Communicate with clients, field staff, and provide technical support.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
• Must reside in the greater Los Angeles area and be open to in-person office work (as needed).
• Bachelor’s degree in a related social science field or equivalent education.
• Three years of coordination experience with one year of supervisory experience, preferred
• Strong organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills to work with minimal to moderate
supervision.
• Knowledge of research and evaluation methodologies.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Skill in working as part of a team and maintaining cooperative working relationships with internal
staff, field staff, and clients.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with
enthusiasm.
• Ability to attend to detail and extract data and document procedures with high fidelity.
• Skill in working independently to complete multiple and complex tasks in an environment with
rapid changes in priorities.
• Solid working knowledge of relevant software, including proficiency in MS Office applications
(specifically Word and Excel).
