Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and demonstrate exceptional patient care skills in a fast-paced environment. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing medical emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine their medical needs and prioritize care based on urgency.
- Perform triage duties, evaluating the severity of conditions and implementing appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare professionals and document patient information accurately.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families regarding treatment options and home care instructions.
- Operate diagnostic evaluation equipment as needed, including neonatal ventilators in critical situations.
- Maintain accurate records using Cerner or similar electronic health record systems.
- Uphold basic life support standards and participate in emergency response situations as required.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Experience in an emergency room setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with basic life support techniques and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation processes.
- Experience with home care practices is a plus.
- Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as needed.
