What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian - 1st Shift position at Vontier?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs all functions in the plant required to ensure the cleanliness and sanitary standards set forth by the Company. Incumbent is responsible for maintaining the entire facility.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Anticipates problems such as unavoidable delays in material shortages and informs area supervisor or other involved personnel, and/or solves problems as required.
- Requires lifting and transporting of waste and cardboard as necessary. Physical requirements for lifting medium and heavy weights, not to exceed 40 pounds, as required.
- May be required to operate hand lift truck or other material handling devices.
- Cleans restrooms, breakrooms, office areas and conference rooms.
- May be required to perform additional miscellaneous duties as directed by immediate supervisor within the scope of the job.
Support Functions
- Assists in the training and qualification of other associates.
- Assists in the development of more efficient ways of maintaining the plant.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Ability to drive fork truck.
